Easy housemade Grenadine (pomegranate syrup) recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup 100% pomegranate juice (unsweetened)

  • ½ cup sugar (reduce to ⅓ cup for less sweetness)

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Optional:

    • 1 tsp pomegranate molasses or 2 tsp honey – for richer depth

    • Small piece of orange peel or 2–3 pink peppercorns – for a whisper of spice

Instructions:

    1.    Stir until sugar dissolves, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10–12 minutes until slightly thickened (don’t boil hard — you want a syrup, not jam).

    2.    Stir until sugar dissolves, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10–12 minutes until slightly thickened (don’t boil hard — you want a syrup, not jam).

    5.    Store in a glass jar in the fridge — keeps for up to 3 weeks.
